Verizon Begins Rolling Out Android 4.4 KitKat Update for the Droid Ultra, MAXX and Mini

DROID MAXX & Ultra Feature

Verizon Wireless has announced that the Droid Ultra, Droid MAXX and Droid Mini will each begin receiving an over-the-air update to Android 4.4 KitKat. The OTA update will be making its way to each of the 2013 Motorola Droid devices starting today, but is being released “in phases”. So don’t worry too much if you don’t see the update alert on your phone right away.

The news came via the @VZWnews Twitter account earlier today and marks the second time Verizon Wireless has pushed out an Android 4.4 update. Not bad at all considering Android 4.4 KitKat is only two months old. We’re not used to seeing Verizon being so quick about releasing updates for their devices, but we like it.
