BlackBerry’s answer to budget phones like the Motorola Moto G and Nokia Lumia 520/521/525 has had is specifications and features revealed. The phone was announced and briefly shown off at Mobile World Congress 2014 with the only things really being confirmed was that it had a 5 inch screen and that it would be a sub-$200 price. Fortunately, since the phone is closer to launch we now have official specs. The phone is meant for emerging markets, especially Indonesia with the codename of the device literally being the capital, Jakarta. Here’s a rundown of the specs:

It will be very interesting to see how this device performs and how it matches up against the other phones in the BB10 lineup as well as other budget devices. The Moto G is praised as being a great value, however based on the specifications the Z3 seems a little closer to the Nokia Lumia 520. Those devices have sold very well for their respective platforms so it will be intriguing to see if the same trend follows for this phone.
The preorders have opened up for this phone on a couple of Indonesian carriers and if the pricing on the promotion below is any indication, and if our RP to USD conversions are correct, this phone should be priced at about the $140-$190 range. That price seems decent so hopefully we will see this come to the states.
