CES: Verizon and Samsung officially announce the ATIV Odyssey Windows Phone
Verizon Wireless and Samsung have just announced that the ATIV Odyssey, a device we first heard about a couple of months ago, will be launching on Verizon’s 4G LTE network sometime in the coming weeks. The ATIV Odyssey is Samsung’s first Windows Phone 8-powered smartphone and it features a 4 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels, as well as a large, 2100 mAh battery.
Internally, the Samsung ATIV Odyssey is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 1 GB of RAM. There is a 5 megapixel camera on the rear for snapping photographs and capturing videos, while a 1.2 megapixel camera up front allows for video chat. You’ll also get 8gb worth of internal storage, and if that’s not enough room for you, the device includes a microSD card slot that supports up to 64 GB cards.
Verizon Wireless hasn’t revealed a firm release date or any pricing information for the Samsung ATIV Odyssey yet, but we’ll keep you updated once we hear anything new. For now, you can learn more by reading Verizon’s news release, which follows the break.
