E3: Three new Mario games headed to Nintendo 3DS soon
The Mario Brothers and the 3DS had a huge presence at Nintendo’s E3 press conference today.
First Nintendo revealed that New Super Mario Bros 2 will be released in the US on August 19th. This new 2D platformer is all about the golden coins. Mario can now turn nearly anything in sight into gold coins and can even turn himself into gold using a new power up.
Next, they announced Paper Mario: Sticker Star, which features a sticker system that adds a new element of strategy to combat and exploration. Paper Mario: Sticker Star will be released this holiday season.
Finally, We got a look at Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon. The sequel to the GameCube title features multiple locations in need of ghostbusting and has all new ghost types to bust. It is also expected to launch this holiday season.
It is good to see that Nintendo hasn’t forgotten about it’s hand held console to focus on the Wii U.
