Garmin Announces Forerunner 10 GPS running watch (Video)
Garmin has announced a new addition to their popular line of Forerunner running watches, the all new Forerunner 10. This watch, like all other Forerunner watches, provides its wearer with vital information as they run, jog or walk. With the Forerunner 10’s highly sensitive GPS receiver, you’ll be able to keep track of your total distance traveled, pace and lap times, while also identifying your own personal records.
The Garmin Forerunner 10 is the lightest and most comfortable running watch the company has made yet, and its also the most intuitive. Wearers of the new Forerunner 10 will be able to push one button and then begin their run right out of the box. Users that prefer a more customized experience will also have the option to edit their personal profile and settings. This will allow users to display distance, pace, calories and other stats when and where they choose.
Another nice software feature of the Forerunner 10 is its Virtual Pacer setting, which compares your current pace with a predetermined target pace. This unit is also compatible with Garmin Connect, which allows runners to quickly and easily log their runs, track their totals, set goals and share workouts with friends and family. Data transfers and charging duties happen via a USB port. Garmin has said that the included rechargeable battery is good for 5 hours while in training mode and up to 5 weeks in power saving mode.
The Garmin Forerunner 10 will be available in three wristband colors and will function as a normal day-to-day wrist watch. It is Water-resistant to 50m and light enough to wear all day long. As of now, there isn’t a firm Garmin Forerunner 10 release date, but Garmin plans to release the watch some time this fall for a suggested retail price of $129.99
