Garmin tactix Now Officially Introduced

tactix new watch from Garmin

Today, Garmin announced tactix, which has been self-described as a rugged high-sensitivity GPS navigator and ABC watch. The inspiration for this watch is rather unique as it stems from Law Enforcement and Police Special Operations. This watch was built for those on the go. If you love to train for marathons or go exploring the untamed wilderness, this watch will be your greatest ally. tactix comes equipped with numerous features, such as a barometer, an altimeter, a 3-axis compass, and extensive tracking capabilities. It’s also water proof as long as you stay above 50meters (~164ft) and can work in GPS mode for up to 50 hours in a single charge.

“Being able to go hands free while still having access to accurate information on barometric pressure, elevation, and GPS position could prove to be invaluable in the field,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice president of worldwide sales. I know a few people who go pretty hard at life. They don’t take the bull by the horns; they ride that bull as they charge through all their obstacles, and they are the type of people I believe tactix would be great for.

However, you don’t have to be an unsung bad ass to be able to use tactix. This watch is still prime and functional for those who want a fully- and multi-functional to wear in their day-to-day lives. tactix provides real-time performance data, such as distance, pace, and calories. If you’re trying hard to get your body right and tight, tactix helps you keep track of your progress during any of your fitness activities. tactix is compatible with the premium heart rate monitor for heart rate info and with the speed/cadence sensor for distance, speed and cadence while on a bike. The displayed data fields are fully customizable right from the watch.

One thing about tactix that is a major relief to everyone is that this watch is built to last. No matter what you throw at it, tactix was built to endure the worst of the worst. tactix also has a large LCD display with a negative mode liquid crystal display for low light conditions. And I think that’s pretty perfect for night crawlers like me. I don’t like having to fiddle around for my phone in the dark.

Such luxury comes at a pain to the wallet. Garmin tactix is now widely available for $449.99; yes, I know. If the price didn’t send you reeling back in surprise, then you just might be in luck. There are 101 things to say about tactix, Garmin’s latest solution to high-impact living, and you can learn all about them at the official listing for the watch.
