Giada i53 Mini PC offers serious performance in a book-sized package
Giada has released some more details about their up-coming book-sized mini computer. The Giada i53 was first announced at this years Computex and a lot of questions were left unanswered about the new Ivy Bridge computer. Today’s news reveals a few of the missing specifications.
The computer will come standard with a Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. Users will have the option of swapping the default processor for either the Core i3 or Core i7 chips. Graphics will be handled by an integrated HD 4000 GPU, which will allow for high-definition video output via the included HDMI port. Other features include a remote control, Bluetooth, Ethernet, WiFi B/G/N, a multi format storage card reader, VGA output and 5 USB jacks (4 USB 2.0 and 1 USB 3).
That is an awful lot to cram into such a small PC. Giada has said that the i53’s case measures in at only 26mm thick and uses only 35w. The small size, power efficiency and decent hardware makes the Giada i53 seem like a great choice for a home theater PC.
Giada is expected to release the i53 later this year for around $500.
