Kimdecent launches the Droid Stick T4 – $69 Android 4.0 Mini PC
Kimdecent has launched the Droid Stick T4, their latest Android-powered Mini PC. The Droid Stick T4 Looks more like a USB flash drive than a computer, but packed inside of the tiny body is some pretty impressive hardware. The little computer features an Allwinner A10 ARM Cortex-A8 processor with 1GB of RAM. Other features include HDMI output, one full-sized USB 2.0 port, one mini USB port, microphone jack, 4GB worth of built in storage and a MicroSD card slot.
For the price, the Droid Stick T4 just might be the best companion for HD televisions available. It can plug directly into your TV or monitor without any cables and with it you will be able to surf the internet, play games and stream media directly to your big screen. Basically it will turn your dumb TV into a slightly smarter TV. Also, it functions well as a cheap desktop computer alternative. The Droid Stick T4 ships with Android as it’s pre-loaded operating system, but should have no problems running Ubuntu or any of the desktop Linux distributions that are designed for ARM processors.
As a strictly Android device it is pretty capable, included with the OS is the full Google Play Store, which means downloading games and apps will be much easier than other Android devices that don’t ship with Google Play support. Also, the device can use a USB hub which would all for the use of several types of USB devices, such as a mouse/keyboard, USB Camera or even 3G/4G dongles.
The Kimdecent Droid Stick T4 is available now from AliExpress for $69.
