Motorola adds a few more devices to their Ice Cream Sandwich update schedule
We had known for a while now that the Xooms, Droid 4, Droid Bionic, Razr and Razr Maxx would all be seeing an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich later this year, but today the company decided to add a few more of their devices to its ICS upgrade schedule. The newly announced devices that will get some ICS goodness at some point in 2012 include the Atrix 4G, the Atrix 2, the Photon 4G, and the Electrify. Most of these devices are listed for a Q3 update release, so there is still quite a bit of waiting to do depending on which device you own. Honestly though, there are quite a few Motorola handsets that will never get a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich at all. Waiting a few months is always better than never getting an official upgrade. Also keep in mind that the release dates are subject to change. Each of the updates will need to first go through testing by Motorola and the carriers before being released to the Gingerbread packing masses.
