New Face Up for PS Vita, Coming Soon
Late last year during the festive Tokyo Game Show, Sony announced that the PS Vita was going to get slimmer and more colourful. The newer version of the PS Vita comes in a variety of new hues, such as yellow, grey, and blue, and will come with a 64GB memory card. It was set to be released on October 10th and probably wouldn’t make its way Westward for a long, long time.
Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait long, or at least some of us. Yesterday, Sony stated that the newer, slimmer PS Vita would come to the West at a cheaper price than its previous model. PS Vita Slim, as its called, is scheduled to have its first release in the UK on February 7th. As of right now, there’s no set date for its release in Canada, the US, or other areas, but that was to be expected right.
For an overview of what the PS Vita Slim promises, it’s supposed to be 15% lighter and 20% slimmer than the previous. It comes with front and rear view cameras and built in stereos and mic for video calling. Even though both models use the same kind of battery, the PS Vita Slim wants to give you more bang for your charge.
There are so many comparisons and differences between the two PS Vitas, and you can definitely read more about it.
Pre-orders have started today, January 31st, for £180 ($298).
