Nokia Lumia 1020 Reaching End Of Life Status
The consensus best camera phone on the market might have some bad news heading its way soon. The Nokia Lumia 1020, released last July will apparently be reaching end of life (EOL) status in September. What this means is that they will stop being produced, but will continue to be supported through Microsoft and Nokia. It seems odd that a device just released last year would be receiving the status, but there might be two situations to look at or a combination of both. The first occurrence is that the exclusivity with AT&T and high initial starting price hurt its sales numbers as well as it being a niche device to begin with. Another situation is that the successor is going to be coming soon and Microsoft wants to focus its resources and efforts into it. Regardless, the Lumia 1020 stands as hands down the best camera smartphone to date and a pretty good phone too.
