Samsung officially announces the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite Tablet

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 LiteSamsung has just introduced the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (7″), a new 7 inch tablet which looks nearly identical to its last 7 inch tablet, but is allegedly “slimmer and more portable” than the previous model and should come with a more affordable price.

First, let’s go over the hardware! According to Samsung, the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (7”) features a 7 inch, WSVGA display with a screen resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and 1GB worth of RAM.  The included 3600mAh battery is expected to provided users with up to 8 hours worth of use per charge. It also has Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11n WiFi, GPS, 8GB of storage along with a microSD card slot and a 2 megapixel camera on the rear.

Strangely, this new 7 inch tablet from Samsung doesn’t seem to include a front facing camera, something the previous model did feature. As for software, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (7″) will launch with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean installed and will hopefully see a update to Kit Kat eventually.

We haven’t heard pricing information or the release date for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (7″) yet, but it wouldn’t be surprising if we learn more soon. For now, you can get more details about the latest tablet from Samsung by hitting up the source link below.
