The Lenovo ThinkPad 2 will launch on October 26th for $799
Lenovo first announced the ThinkPad 2 back in the beginning of August. They revealed some attractive specs and gave us a idea of when we could expect to see the Windows 8 tablet launch, but they didn’t share a price at that time. Now Lenovo has shared pricing details as well as a firm release date. The Lenovo ThinkPad 2 will be available for purchase starting October 26th and will cost as much as $799.
To recap, the Lenovo ThinkPad 2 includes a 1,366 x 768 IPS touchscreen display, an Intel Atom processor, 8MP rear-facing camera, 2MP front-facing camera, NFC and a battery that’s good for 10 hours of life per charge. The ThinkPad Tablet 2 is 9.8 mm thick and weights in at less than 1.3 pounds.
For the price of $799 you will also get a full QWERTY keyboard as well as the full version of Microsoft Office 2013 to go along with the ThinkPad 2. Lenovo has mentioned that the device is geared more for enterprise than consumers. But still, that’s a pretty high price to pay for a tablet these days. What are your thoughts?
