Zero Devices Z902 – $75 Android 4.0 Powered Mini PC – now available to pre-order

Zero Devices Z902

Fans of Android-powered mini PCs have another reason to be excited today. The Zero Devices Z902 mini PC is now available to pre-order. The Z902 retails for $89, but the first 500 people to place their pre-order will get the little Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) PC for only $75.

The Zero Devices Z902 shares many of the same hardware features found on other Android based mini PCs, including the Allwinner A10 ARM Cortex-A8 processor, 1GB worth of RAM and a HDMI connector all crammed into a package the size of a thumb drive. Other hardware features include 4GB of internal storage, a microSDHC card slot, 1 USB 2.0 port, 2 mini USB ports and WiFi.

All of these Android-powered mini PCs serve the same basic purposes. They allow you to turn your standard HDTV into a smart TV or with the use of a monitor, keyboard and mouse – make for a cheap alternative to a desktop PC.

The Z902 ships with Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, but since it uses the Allwinner A10 processor; it should have no problems running other Linux-based operating systems. The Zero Devices Z902 is expected to begin shipping later this month.
